Before we begin, meet Spark and Posy — two young unicorns who will help guide you through the basics of unicorn care, features, behaviour and the occasional magical mishaps.

Posy 🌸
A gentle young unicorn with a love of flowers, nature, and helping others. She is thoughtful, kind, and usually has a sensible suggestion when Spark’s ideas become a little too adventurous.

Meet Nimbus

One of the oldest and most respected unicorns in the kingdom. Nimbus has been quietly watching over unicorn affairs for many years and is generally considered a reliable source of advice, as long as snacks are available.

Parts of a Unicorn

Let’s take a look at the beautiful Nimbus:

Horn
A unicorn’s most distinctive feature; the horn is often associated with magic, healing and wisdom. The base of the horn, known as the coronet, is said in folklore to be a source of magical energy.

Forelock
The hair that grows between the ears and falls over the forehead.

Mane
The long hair that runs along the neck. Unicorn manes are often colourful and flowing.

Muzzle
The front part of the face, including the nose and mouth.

Neck
Connects the head to the body and helps the unicorn balance and move gracefully.

Back
The upper part of the body between the neck and tail.

Tail
Used for balance, communication and, occasionally, dramatic effect.

Fetlock
The joint just above the hoof. It helps absorb impact when walking, trotting or galloping.

Hoof
The hard outer part of the foot that supports the unicorn’s weight and protects its legs. Particularly useful when crossing muddy fields.

Feeding

Rainbow Mane Maintenance ✨
A well-maintained rainbow mane should be brushed regularly to prevent tangles. Excessive glitter-based grooming products are not recommended.
